About

A commitment to achievement, self-development, and community, has defined Nilson L. Goes and is the foundation upon which he built an exceptional professional career. Nilson Goes has an extensive and accomplished academic background; distinguished by a doctorate in electrical engineering, serving as a collegiate educator, published academic, as well as the recipient of international scholastic recognition and scholarships. This is blended with the comprehensive experience of building and running a successful business in the Kansas City area for almost 25 years now. Nilson Goes accomplishes this through tenacity, innovation, exceptional problem-solving skills, and measured risk-taking to consistently deliver the best to customers and stakeholders. Nilson Goes began a career path that is rare among other contracting executives; earning his bachelors and masters degrees from one of Brazil’s top engineering schools, and his doctorate from one of the most respected engineering programs in the United States. Armed with a comprehensive technical background and multicultural experiences, Nilson set himself apart from others from the beginning.

Priding himself as a “problem solver and strategic risk-taker”, Nilson began his companyInfinite Energy Construction in 1996. A venture that started in the basement of his suburban home would soon become an arduous and rewarding path of growth, education, and accomplishment. Recognized as a developing executive that is committed to the Kansas City community, Nilson has celebrated significant milestones in his entrepreneurial career, including KCPL’s “2000 Chairman’s Award for Excellence”; KCHACE’s “2001 Contractor of the Year”; MAMDC’s “2007 Contract Award Recognition”; the prestigious “Jesse F. Flores 2011 Business of the Year” by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City; and 2014 SBA’s Missouri Person of the Year. Under Nilson’s leadership, Infinite Energy has grown by 400% in the past 5 years (total revenue) and has contracts ranging from California, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Tennessee, Virginia; to Alaska. Nilson can often be heard saying, “this is only the beginning” as he consistently challenges himself and others to provide better service, outperform the competition, and grow his business.

Nilson is proud to directly employ 97 employees across the country and plans to keep adding to his quality staff of professionals. Today, Nilson Goes resides with his wife Celina, in Leawood, KS. They have 4 grown children, 7 grandchildren, and 2 ‘granddogs’. In his free time, Nilson can be found enjoying time with his family or reading.
